Mr. Newman is Chair of the Audit Committee. Mr. Newman is a chartered accountant and is the President of Brian Newman Professional Corporation, a public accounting firm. Mr. Newman has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Major) and has over 30 years of professional experience in audit, accounting tax and consulting.
Craig Skauge is the President of Olympia Trust Company. Mr. Skauge is also President and founder of the National Exempt Market Association (NEMA); and is recognized as a leader and national subject expert on the Canadian Exempt Market. He has been asked to speak nationally, or be an advisor to: the OSC, the CSA, the Canadian Bar Association, and the CFA. Mr. Skauge has been featured in the National Post, the Globe and Mail, and the Investment Executive. Mr. Skauge is the publisher of the Exempt Edge, a national industry trade publication.
As director and partner of several companies, Mr. Janssen has been intimately involved in the establishment of the strategic direction, investment and cash management, banking relations and regulatory reporting of the corporations.
From 1993 to present, Mr. Janssen has acted as Controller and Chief Financial Officer of Response Energy Corporation, a private junior oil & gas corporation with operations in Western Canada. Mr. Janssen currently is a Director with Target Capital Inc. (TSXV: TCI) a publicly traded corporation.
Mr. Janssen was Controller of Stanford Energy Corporation, a publicly traded Corporation from 1993 to 1996. Mr. Janssen co-founded a number of other junior oil & gas companies, where he was Controller and Chief Financial Officer and Director until the sale of the companies. In this capacity, Mr. Janssen was involved with Para-Tech Energy Inc. (TSXV:PTY - Delisted) a publicly traded corporation, from 1995 to 1998; PocaTerra Operations Ltd., a private flow-through drillingfund, from 1996 to 1999; Wildmere Resources Inc., a Wyoming based oil & gas corporation, from 1999 to 2004; and SideKarr Energy Energy Limited Partnership, a private drilling limited partnership, from 2011 to present.
Mr. Janssen received a Bachelors of Science (mathematics) in 1985 and a Masters of Computer Science in 1988, both from the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. In 1990, Mr. Janssen obtained his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Calgary. In 2012 Mr. Janssen obtained his CMA accreditation from CMA-Alberta.
With over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry, Lori's extensive knowledge combined with her strong administrative skills provides a strong foundation for her role at Olympia Trust. While overseeing all aspects of the department, Lori continues to focus her attention on the development of long-term relationships, while ensuring that she remains current on relevant provincial legislation changes in the industry. Lori obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario. She has also completed her mutual fund licensing and the Officers', Partners', and Directors' designation through the Investment Funds Institute of Canada
Dr. Cora Pettipas Ph.D. FCSI CFP is currently the President and a Board of Director of the National Exempt Market Association (“NEMA”) in Canada. She was recognized by Wealth Professional on the national industry ‘hot list’ for 2016. Dr. Pettipas is also the editor of The Private Investor Magazine and currently represents Canada on the Education Working Group for the Financial Planners Standards Board and a policy ambassador for the Financial Planners Standards Council. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from McGill University, and a Master’s and PhD in Finance from Swiss Management Center University, her research focusing on the influences of fintech on financial services internationally. Dr. Pettipas has had tenures with several financial institutions in the capacity wealth management, retail banking, and financial planning. Her most recent previous position was as a Professor at Mount Royal University, where she taught Finance and Financial Planning. She has published and presented her work internationally.
Mrs. Wolfe is the President of RDMS Group Inc., a finance and accounting consulting firm.
Mrs. Wolfe is a chartered professional accountant. She obtained an Honors in Business Administration degree in 1998 from the Richard Ivey School of Business. Prior to forming RDMS Group Inc., Mrs. Wolfe gained valuable experience with both large and small public and private companies in a variety of industries from oil and gas exploration and production to oilfield services, agriculture, technology etc. She has extensive experience in financial reporting, strategic planning, governance and compliance, acquisitions due diligence and integration and ERP implementations. She has also served as the Director and Chair of the Audit Committee for Eyelogic Systems Inc. (TSX-V:EYE.A).
